As it turns out, the process of switching the boards took me less than one hour. Wow! I could not believe it either. After installing the board, and inserting all four 512 MB sticks of RAM, I was experiencing the same errors when starting the machine. My final conclusion, the ASUS AV7880 Socket A motherboard is not compatible with four sticks of 512 MB Corsair TWINX1024-3200C2PT.
I am deciding if I should be satisfied with running three sticks of 512, or purchase RAM that is on the list of qualified hardware for this board. What is another 512 MB worth?
