Alex Mueller on Software and Technology

The Olympic Games are special to many of us because they symbolize the unification of many nations competing in good-natured, athletic events, setting aside their political differences (in theory). Every four years, we are given the opportunity to witness Olympic magic, as athletes demonstrate to the world their skills, and bring countries together in their support. We meet new faces, recognize older ones, learn new stories of both triumph and hardship, and ultimately take away a sense of hope and accomplishment these special athletes provide.

When the Olympic Games are finished, we are left with memories, photographs, and videos of performances. Capturing these moments on film requires the same preparation, knowledge, and luck that is vital to Olympic athletes. Vincent Laforet tells his story in this article, In Tight in Torino.
