I had to sit down and explain to a friend all about the ASP.NET web.config. The first question asked to me as I was explaining was, "how do you know all this?" That is a good question. The point of this post is my answer to that question, and my answer is really only a few links to information explaining the web.config file.

"How do I know all of this?" Well, besides working with it daily, reading about it helps improve cognizance and familiarity. I do not know everything about the web.config, only enough to plausibly answer this friend's questions. When I do not know, I turn to the internet for answers.

If you are looking for resources on the web.config, start with some of these. They are in no particular order.
